This section contains examples of projects delivered in printed form. The roles I have taken range from writer to editor, designer to project manager, and plenty of others besides.

Personal Learning Coaching user guide

Personal Learning Coaching User Guide

Personal Learning Coaching is a CD-ROM and web-based learning programme that aims to encourage people to become learning mentors for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds aiming to continue in education after the age of 16. I designed and produced the users' guide and packaging for this product, to enable prospective mentors with little experience of IT to get the software up and running.

Arthritic Association News front cover

Arthritic Association News

This is the newsletter of the Arthritic Association, a small charity that promotes natural, complementary methods for the relief of arthritis. Its newsletter is published twice a year, both in print, and simultaneously on the new web site. This simultaneous publishing is made convenient and economical by the use of XML and a proprietary conversion script written in PHP.

Good Training Providers Guide

The Good Training Provider's Guide

This is a series of eight training packs aimed at management staff in training organisations.

The guides provide support and guidance to help providers and managers of training in their quest for continuous quality improvement. It is a modular series, written to fit alongside and support the work that training providers and LSCs are currently doing to raise the standard of training.

My role in the project:

Harry Potter Gala Souvenir Programme

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: London Charity Gala Screening souvenir programme

One of my last jobs at One Parent Families was to design and produce this souvenir programme for the charity screening of the first Harry Potter film at the Odeon Kensington on 7 November 2001.

As well as looking extremely nice, the programme was written, edited, designed, produced and printed in just over two weeks, which was quite an achievement as I had to get approvals from Warner Bros. at every stage.

My role in the project:

To read a PDF document you need Adobe Reader. If you don't have it you can download it from the Adobe site.
