Design for print
Years of working at the 'sticky' end of the publishing process – as a production editor and then design and production manager – has meant working alongside some great designers, and I've picked up a fair amount in the process.
It has also meant that I've had to learn more than your average editor, project manager or designer would usually want to know about the technicalities of the printing process.
Put this together with editorial experience, my engagement with the content and my natural visual flair, and you get a stylish and practical approach to graphic design. For examples, see the portfolio section.
My combination of editorial, design and technical skills also means that I can work to extremely tight deadlines, and I have the technical knowledge and equipment to carry out every stage of a project electronically.
